It has been placed in the 3rd Para ( تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ) of the Holy Quran. The literal meaning of the word “Ayatul Kursi” is “Throne of Allah.” In Quran, Ayatul Kursi is the 255th verse from Surah Al Baqarah. His ultimate seat encloses all the heavens and the earth, and the preservation and care of both do not tire Him. Who could negotiate with Him without His permission? He knows what is forth of them and what is beyond them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge-except what He wills to reveal. He owns whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. In the Name of the God, the All-Merciful, the Most Pitying.Īllah! There is no God worthy of worship except Him, the Immortal, All-Assisting. The translation of Ayatul Kursi in English is as follows: Allaaho Waliyyul Lazeena Aamanoo, Yukhrejohum Menaz Zolomaate Elan Noore, Wallazeena Kafaroo Awleyaaa-O-Homut Taaghooto Yukhrejoonahum Menan Noore Elaz Zolomaate, Oolaa-Eka Ashaabun Naare, Hum Feehaa Khaaledoon Laa Ikraaha Fid Deene, Qad Tabayyanar Rushdo Menal Ghayye, Famayn Yakfur Bit-Taaghoote Wa Yoo-Mim Billaahe Faqadis Tamsaka Bil-U’rwatil Wusqaa, Lanfesaama Lahaa, Wallaaho Samee-U’n A’leemun. Ya’lamo Maa Bayna Aydeehim Wa Maa Khalfahum, Wa Laa Yoheetoona Be Shayim Min I’lmehi Illaa Bemaa Shaaa-A, Wase-A’ Kursiyyohus Samaawaate Wal Arza, Wa Laa Ya-Oodohu Hifzohomaa, Wa Howal A’liyyul A’zeemo.
